Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome! We’re glad you’re here. Gosplitgo is a peer-to-peer subscription-sharing marketplace. Gosplitgo connects subscription owners (Hosts) who have unused subscriptions slots with people (StreamPoolers) who want to rent them for a week or a month. It’s like ride-sharing for subscriptions –everyone saves money! We handle payment between the parties and everything else. We also provide a free platform for Friends & Family to manage all of their shareable family subscriptions’ information: what subscription services you all have, your usernames, and your passwords. Also, we give Friends & Family the option to pay each other if they want to share their streaming services’ expenses.
It’s like a marketplace of (streaming) subscriptions slots available for rent. When a subscription owner (Host) has unused subscription slots, they can put them up for rent and it will show in the StreamPool and be visible for others (StreamPoolers) to rent for a week or a month.
It's someone who has a gosplitgo account and who rents someone's subscription. Or it's someone who has created a Friends and Family StreamPool page, which helps you manage all of your family subscriptions: what services you all have, your usernames, and your passwords.
It’s a page on our website that helps you manage all of your shareable family subscriptions’ information: what subscription services you all have, your usernames, and your passwords. Also, Friends & Family (F&F) the option to pay each other if they want to share their streaming services’ expenses. On the F&F page, you can see a semi-circle. Click on the + to invite a friend or family members. They will receive an email invite to join your F&F StreamPool. They will then be able to enter their shareable subscriptions’ info. That person will then show on your F&F semi-circle.

Perhaps you will notice that you’re all paying for the same subscription service. You can then decide to cancel duplicate plans and save money (we love that you can save money!). Also, we give F&F the option to pay each other if they want to share some of their streaming services’ expenses. We trust that you will follow your streaming services’ Terms of Use. That is, some streaming services only allow sharing with people in the same household –those are your Friends & Family.
Great question! We were inspired by the term “carpooling”. Streaming services + (car)pooling… gosplitgo is like ride-sharing for subscriptions.
Simple! First, create a profile. Then select which subscription(s) you'd like to place in the marketplace (StreamPool). Your services will automatically be made available for rent each week or month unless you select “Pause” in your profile. Once a Renter (StreamPooler) wants to rent your streaming service and payment is made, the StreamPooler will receive an email (and an SMS if the person is in the U.S.) with the log in information to your service. For each service you have in the StreamPool, we automatically generate a new password every month to enhance your security. You have to change your password in each subscription service you place in the StreamPool to make sure that your Renter(s) can access your subscription(s). As a convenience, we give you the password you'll be using for the current month on the first of each month. They are located in your Profile. Make sure to change your subscription passwords on the first day of each month (in the morning preferably, Eastern Standard Time) with the passwords we have generated for you. Happy StreamPooling!
Good question! We take your security seriously. We realize that many people use the same password for just about everything: their streaming subscriptions, their online shopping accounts, and even their bank accounts! We want to make sure that your passwords are very unique and temporary so that your Renters will never get a chance to access your personal accounts! Also, it will prevent “old” Renters from continuting to access your subscriptions.
Simply create a profile. Then go to our marketplace (StreamPool), select the streaming service you want to rent, then select the week or month you want in the calendar. Then pay the “sharing fee”. Once payment is made, we’ll send you, the StreamPooler (via email and via SMS if you’re in the U.S.) the login information to the service you’re renting. The Owner (Host) will change their password after the weekly or monthly rental period is over and you will no longer have access to the subscription slot you rented. Please note that Owners have to change their subscriptions passwords on the 1st day of each month so if you rent in the middle of the month for a period of 1 month, you will receive a new password to join your rented service on the 1st day of the month.
We are launching gosplitgo with the option to rent a subscription slot for a week (from the day you rent) or a month (from the day you rent). We will soon offer more options, such as monthly, recurring. Stay tuned!
It's simple: it is to make sure that Renters (StreamPoolers) stop using the service they rented once the rental period has expired.
We love to make things easy for our gosplitgo users! The purpose of the Friends & Family StreamPool is to provide a convenient location where you can all share your subscriptions’ information. No more texting or emailing passwords or usernames to each other. Also, as you add your F&F to your family circle in your F&F page, you may realize that several of your F&F are paying for the same subscription. Why not cancel duplicate subscriptions and save money?

If you have placed your unused subscriptions slots in our StreamPool for rent, our auto-generated passwords will automatically show on your Friends & Family page so you can all easily find them. Easy peasy!
Gosplitgo is a peer-to-peer subscription-sharing marketplace based on goodwill and trust. Once you have paid for a subscription slot to rent, you will receive an email with the log in information to the subscription you rented. Give it 5 minutes or so for the email to get to your inbox. Please also check your Junk box! If you still have not received the email with the login information, or if the password provided in the email does not work, you will be able to Chat with the Owner, through the gosplitgo website. Please give the Owner at least 15 minutes to respond after you started a chat with them.

It is rare that a subscription Owner willingly does not respond. If they do not respond after 15 minutes, feel free to contact us via the Help Center → Solve an Issue / Get in Touch with Us.
Typos happen… Please re-enter the credentials we provided in the email we sent you at least one more time. If the username and/or password provided still don’t work, you will be able to Chat with the Owner, only through the gosplitgo website. Please give the Owner at least 15 minutes to respond after you started a chat with them.

It is rare that a subscription Owner willingly does not respond. If they do not respond after 15 minutes, feel free to contact us via the Help Center → Solve an Issue / Get in Touch with Us.
It could be an honest mistake on the Owner’s (Host) part. Contact us through the Help Center → Solve an Issue/Get in Touch with Us and we will contact the Host to correct the issue.
To reset your gosplitgo password, simply go to your Profile, then select Password.
Some streaming services do not allow access outside of the U.S. and we aim to follow these subscription services’ rules. Also, you will have access to the content from the country you are in. For instance, those in Canada renting a subscription slot from a U.S. Owner (Host) will only see the content accessible to those living in Canada. Please note that if you are not located in the United States, gosplitgo will only communicate with you via email (no SMS). Also, please note that it will be slightly more expensive (about 20 U.S. cents more) for you to rent a subscription slot from outside of the U.S. because of credit card processing fees for non U.S. accounts and international bank cards.
Gosplitgo is not supported by any advertising. The subscription slot rental cost is posted in the gosplitgo marketplace (StreamPool). From that amount, we deduct our fee of 15% + 35 cents for a U.S.-based bank or credit card transaction (and that’s the net amount the Owner (Host) of the subscription slot will get). The fee covers the cost of connecting Renters with subscription Owners; it also allows us to maintain our website, cover our operating costs, and to continue to offer new content and features. We’re doing our best to make our services as affordable as possible for all. We appreciate your support in helping us keep our site cool!
Go to your Profile, then go to your Wallet. Select Transfer to my Bank Account. Wallet balances over $15 can be transferred to a U.S. bank account (ACH transaction) without a fee unless your bank is located outside of the United States. It will take 2 to 3 days for your balance to show in your bank account.

Balances under $15 can also be transferred to your bank account but you will be charged a transfer fee of 3% of the amount (5% for non-U.S. bank accounts). Your bank details must be up-to-date. A transfer error due to your account details not being correct will incur a $10 fee.
Go to your Profile, then select Wallet. Click on the payment method or bank account you'd like to update and enter the new information.
Carpooling can be cheaper than driving alone when you share the cost… So is StreamPooling! You offer the subscription slots you’re not using up for rent. StreamPoolers pay for part of your subscriptions by renting them out for a week or a month. That reduces the cost of your subscriptions significantly. The more you share, the more you save!
The Pending amount in your Wallet will clear once the rental period has expired. For instance, if a Renter (StreamPoolPooler) rented a subscription slot from you for one month, the amount they paid (minus our fee of 15% + 35 cents for a U.S.-based payment) will clear after the last day of the month period (after 30 or 31 days, or 28 or 29 days in February). That is to ensure that the Renter can access your subscription service until the end of the rental period. If a service Owner (Host) cuts his or her service before the end of the rental period (whether it’s a week or a month), the Pending amount will not clear and the amount will be removed from the Host’s Wallet and refunded to the StreamPoolPooler.
